Always 100% Live Dueling Pianos!
These days you have to wonder - is the music you're listening to or the video you're watching featuring a real person or real music? Or is it computer generated? AI and technology have really worked their way into all points of our lives now. In some ways it is helpful. In other ways it is not.
When you attend a live music show like our Windy City Dueling Pianos show, you expect and deserve an authentic live music experience. That is what Windy City Dueling Pianos delivers: 100% All Live Music! If you went to a symphony orchestra performance, you wouldn't expect to hear pre-recorded music playing with the orchestra! The same holds true for a "dueling pianos" show! You would instead expect to hear live piano music - and A LOT of it!
Unfortunately there are now dueling pianos shows that use pre-recorded music - referred to as "backing tracks" - in their shows. First, that is a deceptive way of making the entertainers sound better than they really are. They are essentially acting as DJ's and just playing simple piano music along to the music - or not playing along at all. Second, that limits the show to however the pre-recorded music is arranged, and thus limits the show's spontaneity and improvisation.
Windy City Dueling Pianos show are of course "Fun and Interactive"! We would never want to limit the fun and interaction just because we want our performance of songs to sound like the original recording! Audiences that come to our shows are not there to hear DJ's... they want to hear live pianos, and they want to have fun! And that is what we deliver.
We hope this helps inform you the audience or venue that might host our show. We're not sure which direction AI and sophisticated technology will go in the world in general - hopefully it will go in the RIGHT direction! - but in our opinion and probably in your opinion too, it has no place in Live Music.
